What Triggers Warnings, Suspensions, And Bans

What triggers a warning?

  • Tutors are unable to resolve a dispute with the student and Studygate is required to mediate

What triggers a suspension?

  • Tutors do not respond to account flag notifications within 3 business days

What happens if a tutor gets banned?

A ban permanently revokes tutor access to StudyGate. Tutors are banned under the following conditions:

  • Tutor attempts to take student payment or provide services outside of StudyGate
  • Tutor misses a deadline within the first 5 homework help questions
  • Tutor receives a warning within the first 5 homework help questions
  • Tutor cancels two questions within the first 5 homework help questions
  • Star rating below 4
  • Plagiarism
  • Repeated refunding, cancellations, or complaints
  • On-time rate below 85%
  • Poor customer service. Insulting language of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Spam (unwelcome, repetitive, or unhelpful messaging)
    • Sarcasm, insults, and racist comments
  • Tutor offers a third party some form of compensation in exchange for a review on their service or their competitor’s services. This includes using services that sell customer reviews, websites, or social media groups.

If you breach any of the Tutor Terms of Service, StudyGate will have the right to suspend or disable your Account or terminate these Tutor Terms of Service, at its sole discretion and without prior notice to you. StudyGate reserves the right to revoke your access to and use of the Site, Services and Collective Content at any time, with or without cause. If your account is banned, access to associated wallet balances will be forfeited.
