I have almost 8 years of diverse tutoring experience in a variety of settings - private company test prep centers, individual tutoring with a tutoring center, and university tutoring.
My main areas of expertise are algebra, chemistry, and biochemistry. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, minor in Economics degree from the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines in 2012, followed by a Master of Chemistry major in Physical Chemistry, minor in Inorganic Chemistry, from the same university in 2014.
In August 2014, I started my PhD at Vanderbilt University in their Chemical and Physical Biology program with a track in Structural Biology and Molecular Biophysics. I worked in a structural biology lab where we used Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Spectroscopy to study conformational changes that ABC transporters undergo while they perform their transport function. In April of 2016, I moved to Louisville, and have since worked at the University of Louisville to study protein dynamics using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy.
I am currently a PhD student at UofL's Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics department.
