I graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in May, 2016 with a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology. Since then, I have progressed onto the Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Program, with my expected graduation date in April 2018. Experiences while working at Metro Vancouver and the City of Vancouver have helped shape my civil engineering career. Currently, I work at EIC Solutions as an Engineering Assistant, where I partake in the design and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems at various Waste Water Treatment Plants. My career goal is to become a professional engineer focusing in water resources or environmental engineering.
I am also currently employed at Rogers Arena as the Lead Daktronics Scoreboard Operator, and am also in-training to become an Xpression Operator in the Broadcast Department. Furthermore, I tutor a high school student in her Physics and Calculus courses. When I am not working, I am most likely reading a fantasy novel or playing volleyball or tennis.
My studies at BCIT has given me a thorough understanding of what is necessary to join the workforce as an entry level civil technologist. My engineering experience has provided a solid practical foundation for design and project coordination applications. I am passionate in what I do, and hope to help other aspiring engineers achieve their goals.
